little help with regs pls?

Postby GaryBHunting » Sat Dec 01, 2012 12:12 pm

Hi all,

I have an opportunity to hunt some private land for geese in White Pine Co and it's bordered by a paved road on one side. It's rural but I can't find any definitive reg on how far I need to be from the paved road. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks all and good hunting!

I know you can't shoot OVER a maintained road, but I don't know that there is any particular distance from a road.

Pretty positive you don't have to be a certain distance from a road. But that doesn't mean it's a good idea to hunt close to them.

NO, over, across, along side or on the easement !!

I'd set up at least 70 yards away and not shot towards the highway...........you are liable for your pellets and any damage they do to passing auto's ,people or private property.

The best thing to do is call NDOW and ask to talk to one of the Wardens. They are very helpful. Not to mention. IF by some wierd chance you get stopped by a Warden, you can tell him you talked with Warden ??? and this is what he told you. Make sure you get the Wardens name. Because they talk with each other and they can verify what they told you.

Good luck and have a GREAT time.
