Bowfishing Around Reno

Postby CountryDuck » Thu Mar 28, 2013 9:10 pm

Looking to do some bowfishing this spring and summer. Was wondering if anyone had some recommendations on where to go and try. I figure Washoe is good, just not sure of any other places. Thanks.

I can only imagine the looks you'd get bow fishing at Washoe, would probably be good if you could see through the mud though.

Pretty much any lake out by Fallon was good for fly fishing carp, might be the same for bowfishing.

We used to do it on the humboldt near winnemucca. People have bought up most of the land now though an it may be tough to find access. We used to just walk along the bank and shoot.

Fertlizer or poke a hole in the air sack and sink them. Ndow considers them a non game animal and said we can do what ever we want with them.
