Sierra Trophies

Postby Yard Goose » Tue Apr 22, 2014 4:03 pm

We did it. Caught the biggest Mac and released it. Couldn't believe my eyes when I netted this beast. What a Pig. Holy Mother of Macs.. Let's start from the beginning. Took the Family up in the Sierra's in search of the Trophy fish of a lifetime. My wife nailed it. An hour of tug a war on 8# test the wife came out on top. Trying to get my daughter near this one took some effort. Made an awesome release video as well. Next thing I know my son comes out back to hang out with his old man in the cold temps and got handed a rod that was alive with another Monster Mac.. This is the second good fish this year for him. He handled it like a pro.. Then asked if we could release like Mom's. Well hell ya.. So now I have made everyone's day except my daughter. Well back to Tahoe for more Rainbow action to fill her needs. Got her to hold one... Enjoy and will get with Wife to get videos up.. Maybe GetterDone will post some Pics of other fish we have caught since hunting has been over

That is a monster.....................way to go.
I have yet to get up to the big lake in the sky this year.
I hope that it will stay in good shape, this season.

With the low water this year, my mc/kok lake does not look well at all......
Stampede is draining faster than the water is coming in.

Did get to hit Pyramid, Frenchman and the Truckee river in Calif. for some fish this weekend though......

have a great season.
