I went into Reno yesterday and bought a Cabala's Ultimate Layout Blind. Blindhunter convinced me it was time to get one. It is big enough for me and has a lot of extra room. It also says that I can use it in 10" of water. The fields at Greenhead, the sand bars on Lahontan and the shores at Walker will have a new look from me. Know more packing tumbleweeds and brush for blinds that scare of most of the birds. I'm not much of a caller, just ask Blindhunter, so I need all the help I can get. We'll see in a few months. Jokingly I ask Blindhunter if I could use it deer hunting and he said if I did he wouldn't go with me. Go figure. Well I guess I'll be in the yard practicing setting up as old people don't get up easily, right Sage.
Make sure to get a snow cover for it and dont use bed sheets they have a neon white look to them they tend to stand out. also I found that its good to to shoot some trap out of it so your used to it. only my to cents! im heading to cabelas tommarrow for some archery stuff but im sure there will be some duck huntings stuff in my cart by time I get to the register.
Blindhunter and I are talking about getting an auto clay bird thrower so we can do some practicing.
We'll be getting one because he won't let me throw birds for him. He says I can't throw straight and he never hit my birds.
I tried to tell him ducks don't fly in straight lines, but he won't believe me.
