white stuff in duck meat

I was curious if anyone had any information on white parasites in duck meat I was cleaning a duck today and when i cut it open there were white things all through out the meat remind me of worms in codfish I clean a lot of ducks this is the first one I have ever seen with this stuff in the meat

It's called rice breast. I shot a spoonie and gw teal this year with it. It looks nasty however, they say if you cook it right it's ok to eat. I didn't bother and I tossed the birds unfortunately. Not worth risking it to me.

Who wants parasite meat. Yum!

got a black duck today with it. Uhg...couldn't eat it, dried it in the oven for around 3hrs to make dog snacks. She was very happy.

Yummy! I get one about every 100 birds I breast out. I cant bring myself to eat them either no matter what anyone says about it being ok. However, I pluck about 70% of my birds so I KNOW ive eaten it. lol

....its like taking x-lax when you have a bad cough. It wont clear up your lungs, but it sure stops you from coughing

I hate when I see it, especially in a black duck. If it is only a few, I usually just ignore it and eat it. If there are tons of them, they usually find the trash.
