Early Season Success

Typically, early season goose is a time for me to go out and basically scout for the regular season. This morning the birds cooperated. Have to say that the amount of birds we saw at one time, we were dealing with some early migrators. The mallards also put on an excellent show for us.

right now Mr. good looking is sound asleep on his couch.,but I guess he deserves it, he worked hard this morning picking up all those birds and a couple were out there. Amazing how these geese think that they can out run him, only to get plowed over by all 70 lbs of him at top speed. As Benny said it was quite a show this morning and a lot of fun. Nice shooting today Benny, see ya in the morning.

Second day at that field yielded 4 birds. Saw a ton of geese, and had mallards and woodies land among the decoys. Bring on the duck season!

The honkers really cooperated during the early season in north central mass and southern nh. Once the corn was cut the birds seemed to come out of the woodwork. Good luck next week with the ducks.
