Figured it had been a while, so here's my scorecard for the season:

5 trips out

2 woodie hens (same day)

1 new shotgun:)

Pics to follow.

congrats on the woodies.

Is there an interesting story about the new shotgun, or was it just time for an upgrade?

Not really anything interesting- I was going to hold off until January, but I came across a good deal on a new Rem 870 that I couldn't pass up. So, I traded my old Lanber in. I am looking forward to trying her out tomorrow morning-

Having a good year so far. Have been able to get out everyday for at least 1hr, except the day my wife had her breast cancer surgury. Ereything came out great & we are cancer free, which I think has helped my shooting this last week not having that on my mind.
So far I have
43 Mallards, woodies and my first ringneck.
13 Geese
This more than I shot all last year, and for the first time I had back to back days with a limit.

It has been a while since I have been able to check in here. Good to see some guys getting on the birds. I have had a pretty good start to this season. I have been able to get several youths out for both ducks and geese. I have had a couple of decent solo hunts as well. Ice has performed real well for just his second season. I have been able to utilize him more for field hunts now as well.

Have you noticed that common sense is not as common as it used to be???
