Early goose?

Anyone go out for September goose season yet? Any luck?

I've still working through my boat project for sea ducks and haven't even looked for geese never mind gone out for them.

Been out scouting all over So. NH. Haven't seen a damn thing on huntable land. Found some the other morning at a farm. Went to the farm all set up yesterday and not even a feather. I figure with all the corn still up and the fields unplowed they are probably sticking to the coastal rivers more. Oh, and Soccer fields

Seeing big groups of birds on the edges of highways all over the place. Nothing on water or in fields.

got three opening morning...pretty tasty(and the wife prefers them over duck) same situation with seeing plenty of geese on unhuntable land.....archery starts in the AM and ducks in a couple weeks, so i will most likely not be chasing them for the rest of the residential season.

good luck on your project justin

Made it out once, got 5 and 3 where banded, got lucky. Best part was Pete got to make some great retrieves. I was happy to see him back at work.
