Have been out on the Bays the past few days and there are alot of birds - mostly blacks though - have taken two shots the last two days for blacks, but have not seen one mallard.....there are alot of buffies around too and of course geese.....yesterday afternoon was howling - my friends went through the Strait and came out covered in ice, (their clothes, faces, decoys and boat had a 1/4" of ice).....they came over to my spot where they could take their blacks which was a synch there were so many coming right in all afternoon......ice will probably be a minor problem tomorrow but I'll hunt the tide so will be nice to sleep in a bit - stayed in today since it was -6 at my house
