Scoters in Monadnock area

Yup although I did not go out rainy sunday 2 weeks ago 10/6, there was a flock of 8 that group staying at my place took 1 down. My duck & goose exploits have been tough, 1 black & 1 goose amogst us, we have doen ok with pheasant with 5 so far and missed a few more...

Hope cold end of this week brings in some ducks...

I see some, rarely, real late winter on the big rivers... far after inland is closed and always in non-huntable spots.

3 or 4 seasons ago I shot a Black Scoter at an inland spot in south-central nh. It was pretty cool, I have never seen one. And the weird thing was it was early season.
