Been having a great year on the sea ducks this season thus far, today was a little more out of the ordinary than most. normally adding a band to the days bag is the highlight of the day but when Pete returned to the boat with a King Eider we where pretty pumped, even though its a juvi this could be a once in a life time duck in our home waters. Hope everyone continues to have a successful and safe season. o
Hen Eider was banded in Washington county Maine, 8/27/2003, "hatched 2003 or earlier"
Thanks BWG, I am hearing more of them taken more often throughout new England. good chance we may have a small breeding population. Im sure more are killed by hunters that have no idea what they have in hand.
Nice job   Congrats on the King and band!
