I think Pete told me your responsible for a tank of fuel in the chopper, minimum 2500 or something crazy.

My Coast Guard contact told me they couldn't get anywhere near him and had to send the copter in. I know of another DHC member who was also out there and had a heck of a time - said he pushed his boat a mile to get to the ICW and that was after waiting til 8:30PM, then ran out of water near the ramp and had to wait some more before meeting a whole squad of LE and Rescue units looking for Hunter #1. I was working and when I drove home at 5 could not believe how low the bay was!!!

Been there - Done That!!! No Fun

My buddy and I were the ones that made it in at 10:30 pm. It was almost worth all that effort with all the birds we saw and shot. :lol3: :lol3: :lol3: I said almost worth it! You really need to be careful out there. Mark

I almost got stranded a few years brant hunting near the pilings for the old railroad trestle that used to cross the bay to Brigantine. The tide just flew out before I realized it. It was my first time hunting that spot and I wasn't familiar with the local conditions. Always learning!
