Help "C" Clamps

Postby ithaca10 » Sun Jul 29, 2012 10:13 am

Converting my permanent blind which is on a 16ft semi v hull. Want to go to a removable blind and i'm looking for c clamps that have a backside of 3/4 -1 inch in width. The blind is presently made from 3/4 emt and am looking for the clamps that Cabelas have on their Northern Flight blinds for the crossmember at the bow and stren. Where can i purchase?

Thanks

Would something like an aluminum c-clamp used for securing truck caps onto a pickup bed work for you? They come in all different sizes.

Here is a Google Image search results llist for "aluminum clamps for camper shells":

http://images.search.yahoo.com/search/i ... per+shells

Should give you some visual ideas of the various confgurations they come in, almost infinite.

Here is the Google search for the same:

http://search.yahoo.com/search;_ylt=AsU ... r%20shells

Should give you an idea of several different vendors that have them for sale.

Good luck. Check BassPro and Cabela's too. I believe they have a similar type clamp that is black rubber coated. If I recall correctly, others have used it for a similar purpose to what you intend.

Good luck.

Cabelas won't sell me the clamps, but the larger clamp could work just fine. I need a min. of 2" for a throat opening to go over the cap. I'm also looking at Seadog bimini rail acc. w/ the round base at a 60 degree angle at 7/8 dia.
