First Blood

Postby pvn6616 » Mon Sep 10, 2012 8:42 am

It felt like fall had arrived last night and my thoughts turned to hunting. Decided to go out and shoot some geese. Had two flocks stool right in and give me some action. Nice way to start the season!

Atta boy Pete!

Looks like your hole is a little dry this year from the pic? At least it is starting off right!

I haven't been out since the opener when I went up to PA with the girlfriend for some geese and doves at my buddy's farm. We took 9 with two bands. Haley got her first band and was very excited.

Keep at em!

I swear that dog loves the hunt more than the master. And I think everyone here knows how much the master loves to hunt! It is such pure joy to share the experience with a canine companion. I had taken a 20 yr old neighbor of mine out for his first experience "duck" hunting and he could not get over the intensitity and focus Jack had.

Yes, that makes the day for me too. My lack of enthusiasm the last few seasons is largely due to a poor dog. Luckily my son just got a pup that shows great promise.

Pete, looks a little muddy. Are you hunting my spot? Is that where I think it is? Nice looking lab. When are we going?
