This year is the second year we are hunting coastal one of my goals is to get a brant I think they are cool looking birds but not sure where I should be looking for them and how should imsetmupmwe have painted 20 old Canada goose floaters into brant decoys just not sure if I should put them in a big group or just small groups mixed with black ducks and buffies or what any info would be great hoping to head out mid day Saturday

That's plenty of decoys and they will work. After scouting for them, find a cove that faces some open water in the lea of the wind and wait your turn. They move mostly on the low tide change b/ it's easier to feed, but will move with boat traffic anytime. They are pretty dumb birds and will decoy to most spreads. I don't target them but this is what I've seen.
