My wife says i am obsessed

Postby crewchief252 » Fri Dec 15, 2006 10:48 pm

it was the day after christmas, and all the next day
we were getting stuff ready to head for the bay
the shotguns were cleaned, the alarms were set
i even got new waders, so my ass don't get wet
so we launched the sneakbox, and loaded our gun
now we were ready for some duck hunting fun
there were mallards & buffies, pintails and teal
broadies & woodies, and those brant that squeel
we set out the decoys, we pulled the trigger
i'll bet we could hit them,if they were just a bit bigger
well we ran out of shells and we packed up our stuff
i finally said enough is enough
and as we hit the ramp,i said with a grin
i cant wait till saturday, to do it again

I guess i do have too much time on my hands, at least i wasted this time at work. Everyone have a happy holiday, and be safe out there

She's half right. I've the same problem except I don't write poetry. That would really put my girl over the edge. Nice job. Send it to the NJWA for their newsletter.

Nice, my wife says my life is ruled by the seasons, trout season, Striper season, Crabing season, snapper season, Fall Striper season, Duck season, and claming season. I have no complaints, she lets me indulge in my seasons.

I have six kids and that equals a 21 gun salute every time a bird flies by! What a season!

I made the mistake of reading this out loud and my girlfriend heard it. She now wants to meet the other women and create a support group. Sorta like duckhunters anonymous for the families.
BUT I got me a ring-neck and a bufflehead today. Both firsts for me!

But just think about how much I am saving for us hunters to use on buying more land and the etc. (Fed. Tax). It's a great cause. One day when they get older, and I still have my hearing, they can pay for the steel. Otherwise, at this point it is just an investment in the future. :salude:

My wife once asked me, what would posses some one so much, that they would get out of a warm bed at 4:00 am to go stand in some swamp when it's 15 degrees out. I replied it's in the blood and there is no cure only treatment. That's why I was getting out of bed at 4:00 am and going to stand in a swamp in 15 degree weather, I had to have my does of treatment. Heck, I've been treating this disease for the past 30 years, and it just seem to get worse, not better. : :salude:
Here's hoping for a lite rain every hunt!
