anyone shooting any brant around tuck, heading down this weekend and just wanted to know if i am going to have a lot of free time on saturday

I was at Tuckahoe yesterday, no Brant. Saw some Canadas and Swans at noon time.

maybe i should be more clear. We plan on hunting the big waters at the mouth of the tuckahoe river and middle river. Not the WMA, which i have checked and is in the south zone.

90% of the brant in nj are shot in the coastal zone. However, you might see a few in that area. Although the marsh looks the same they prefer to be closer to the barrier islands.

Brant numbers are down and it's gonna blow gale outta nw. You might want a plan B, like potholes, ditches, or meadows.

we hunted, on sat and saw two brant LOL, we saw a few ducks and managed a black a hoodie and a hen surf scooter. checked out a few spots up river and generally hung out. Found out the hard way that launching a boat at low tide can be a pain the a** LOL
