We call them Whistlers because the drakes make a very distinct whistling sound when they fly... check it out on you tube.... large flocks sounds really cool.

I know what you mean about names... took me a little while to realize what you guys call 'broadies' we call bluebills... we call ringnecks 'blackjacks'.... pintails, sprigs.. .and so on.

I'm excited to hunt in NJ next year, again.... we were down a few weeks ago but the weather got the best of us, major freeze up. We were able to pull off a nice wall hanger pintail on the first day, but didn't get to hunt the following two days. It was nice to get back home though (from LBI).

I will certainly post pics of my first carved decoy... might not be anything to brag about, but it's been fun so far....

Nice looking spread of cork you have there.... nice little honey hole too.
