I don't post on here too much and I know this forum didn't experience too many reports this past season so I figured now that it's all over I'd share some of my favorite hunts and pictures from this past season. I'm a puddle duck hunter so almost all of the trips are geared towards that style of hunting. The cold weather we had late in the season here really helped to put everything in motion as it should be. These are shots from all three zones. Lots of gadwall around this year!

Thanks Dutch. I don't know where the gray ducks are coming from, but I'm not complaining! That was a solo hunt that quickly turned into a father/son hunt when I kept calling my dad to get his butt out there.
Gaddies are/were a staple duck down in the marshes of Maryland - there were usually a few around in a number of places, but no great swarms of them. Around 2000, they appeared in big numbers in several places I hunted. It coincided with a great increase in their continental population. We had great hunting for about 3-4 years, and then they disappeared. Enjoy it while they're around… hopefully it will be a more permanent trend.
