~~~~~~~Just a reminder before you head out next week~~~~~~
It's time for your annual contribution to the state treasury. Luckily, your stamps and HIP number are still good for awhile.
Thanks for the reminder. I always get mine just before christmas so I don't forget. Trust me, we've been up and ready to go on Jan. 1st and relized that we didn't get a new one. And of course there is no one to work the walmart sporting goods counter to get new license. Hopefully everyone remembers, cause it sucks!
I actually remembered just before Christmas this year. I get everything from the internet now and I have it within 5 business days. It's worth the extra couple of bucks. In fact the game warden stopped to check us the other day and asked my buddy for all his information but just checked that I had my stuff since he knew from his computer that I purchased everything on line. I guess that's a good thing.
I suppose. Anyway, glad I scrambled last night to get mine.
Ringneck, bufflehead, merganser, and a huge canadian today. I am in the process of my first attempt at goose jerky right now. Just a cell phone pic.
same place again????
Yes, but it was a wasteland compared to saturday. We saw a couple birds very early and did get real lucky with the ringneck that came in by himself. Other than that it was just a long sit in the rain with not much to look at.
My neighbor and hunting buddy with the kids that go to school with my son was out there on monday, they dropped 3 mergs and a goose, said there was plenty of birds, they just werent quite set right for the wind, had a lot of lookers though, said the kids had a ball, shot 2 boxes of shells.
