New Mexico Duck Outfitters

Postby Emersonic » Tue Sep 22, 2009 9:05 pm

Was interested in looking into some duck guides located in New Mexico. I have been trying to travel to different states to hunt ducks for the past several years. I hunt mostly in Texas. Any information and suggestions or webaites would be greatly apprecaited.

good luck finding one... people from out of state pay big $$$$ to hunt big game here, not waterfowl. have you hunted in the Amarillo area? heard the goose, sandhill crane, & pheasant hunting is good there. or Louisiana is just a short drive away..

Yeah, good luck......hate to pestimestic, but I've hunted here all my life and couldn't give you the name of one waterfowl outfitter or guide, but I did a little research on Google. Not much info, I'm afraid, but start with A&M Adventures: http://www.amadventures.com/special.htm. Also, Beaverhead Outdoors says on their website that they hunt waterfowl: http://www.beaverheadoutdoors.com/about_outfitters.htm. New Mexico Department of Game and Fish's website is not much help either. They list 255 outfitters and 1167 guides, but do not list what kind of game they hunt. Sorry i can't be more of a help. But if you decide to make a trip out here, you can go hunting with us.......unless you come on a day when I'm getting my nails done..... :lol3:

Why? Are you launching an invesitgation into his credentials, or just wondering because you are thinking about using him? I am sure it is the second one.

Hello as far as I know a guide cannot operate solely on his own you have to be on a contract with the Outfitter. There is a few renegade Supposedly nm waterfowl outfitters not to mention any names but have never seen them on the Outfitter list on nm game and fish.As for using a guide here in nm I would research the Outfitter before dropping the money down and ask for references.

Hey riverboy, i am NOT contracted out to or have nothing to do with a separate outfitter, before you start running your mouth off id look into what my service is or offers a little more. Cause ya maybe thats the case with most guides but not here and honestly you just now seem ignorant for blabbing off now before even knowing your facts about me

Hello ufducks7 I did not mean to insult your services and do apologize I did not mean to jump in and cause insult as for the NM game and fish they do not enforce guide Outfitter services on small game.when I am wrong I admit it,Again sorry.
