Im curious as to what everyone around new mexico has found to be the best time of year for ducks. Im down souther than most yal, specifically LC, but i do travel north. havnt seen much action yet this year down here. Ive been hunting ducks down here, N and S of LC, on and off for bout 5 years and cant decide what time of year has been best. It might be obvious, is late December and January always best?
How about snows? you all see any late season conservation order action on public land/ the Rio/ WMAs?

I would have to say that the best time is about mid-late October through the end of January. I'm not being sarcastic, it's just that I used to think late season was always better, then I realized how much ducks make NM home year round. You can shoot a limit anytime, it all depends on taking the time to locate them before you hunt.
