caution

Postby FastPine » Mon Dec 05, 2011 8:17 am

Please use caution hunting your dog with a collar or vest in conditions with thick cover and deep fast water. I had to bury my dog recently after he drowned when his collar got snagged on a long retrieve in heavy cover..

I had a buddy lose his dog this weekend. He got bit by a rattler last week....fought it for a few days and it finally got him.

Fastpine, I'm so sorry about your dog. Chewy got hung up this weekend on some downed timber in the river and I had to go after him. Nothing worse than that feeling.Dogs aren't around long enough anyway and to lose one prematurely is horrible.

I was so sorry to hear about that happening. When I heard about it it felt like it just happened to me again. Heart goes out to you and to all who have had their dog pass this year. My beloved first lab is buried down at the butte.
