Postby jayclarkie » Sun Dec 16, 2012 11:06 pm

There hasn't been many glory shot pics yet this year, so I thought I'd share...coulda got my limit, but these things are too damn heavy and it was quite a trek back to the truck...

Not that's  some nice shooting! Do you do mostly guide up on NAPI, or do you ever make it down to the river?

From what I hear, for the price of a two-day day guided hunt, you can lease the same ground for the entire season. If I were a guide there, I'd pay a little more and have the lease exclusive. Just a matter of time before you have paying clients who get screwed by guys who have leased the same ground. Both parties have the same rights since they are both paying. It's just that one party paid a heck of alot more.

I'm not the guide, lol. I just get the word out about the guy that is. He is a really nice guy and is just starting out so I have this as my sig to get people to ask questions and hopefully book with him. I have no input with anything he does with NAPI or any of his prices. at first, I thought I could be able to help him guide and he wanted me to help, but unfortunately since Im white I cant. I'm just a young buck who likes to kill geese :) I hunt on Napi and paid my 400 bones just like everyone else did, but occasionally I make it down to the river. infact tomorrow I will be killing a few ducks on it...I hope anyway.

question...is the guide's name vernon? just curious....and i've never tried leasing out there, i just bust out google earth, put it in 4wd, and start exploring! was gonna do napi this year, but 400 bones was just too much. do you know if all the ponds up there are froze over yet?

yeah thats his name...I thought it was a little steep too until I found out it was 400 for two months of hunting. last year it was 300 for only december. I know there are a couple ponds frozen up there, but I havent really been looking. if Im gonna shoot the ducks up there I will pattern them in a field and set a spread for them. they roost on those ponds heavy.

today on the river we did okay...we really didnt see alot flying for whatever reason. managed a mixed bag of 12 and shot a bonus duck
