New to the area.

Postby Floridagrown850 » Fri Oct 11, 2013 2:33 pm

Just moved to the Clovis region of New Mexico from Florida. Just wanted to introduce myself and ask around if anyone is willing to help out a "greenhorn" to duck hunting in New Mexico. I'm not asking for any sweet spots but to get pointed in the general direction of some birds. Any help or tips will greatly be welcomed.

Why do I shoot 3.5" shells for ducks and geese ? Because they don't make 4" yet

You could hunt along the pecos river, but you might be better off in west Texas, lots of good goose hunting out there, and hog hunting too... Lots of outfitters for geese and hogs out of Amarillo and Lubbock...
