Kill Whitey-Volume 1

Postby randy marci » Thu Jan 04, 2007 9:08 am

went out on a tundra saving mission yesterday afternoon and found a place where we could run traffic on a few white geese. got the spread set at about 2:30PM and for the next 2 hours put the hurt on 27 ross and 2 snows for 2 guys. in the mix i got my first ever collared bird and my buddy on the last bird we picked up got himself a leg band. here's my part.

Fito,

The main difference is the size; a Ross is just a littler larger than a mallard. Second, is the grin patch. Ross geese don't a a grin patch. A Snow has a grin patch - a dark lower jaw. And, a Snow has a much heavier bill.

Hi everyone, Is anyone going to hunt snows during the conservation season? I have not gone on a goose hunt (or a wild goose chase for that matter :toofunny: ) yet. I would like to tag along if anyone is up for that. Thanks in advance. :help:

Hey 30. Cal.,

This weekend I will be out of town and next weekend I may take the pup looking for some quail. Maybe get the last weekend in some snows - if I do I will drop you a line.

Thomas.
