I have worked the show for a company that I did some field work for a few years ago. I did the show for myself in the past, also. Being that this is the only show of its kind in NM. that deals with the outdoor world, we are kind of stuck with what we got. I have met some really nice people doing this show and this is the only venue where they can show their services in New Mexico, unfortunately. The past couple of years I haven't gone but may this year to say hello to the few I have met - hopefully they are still showing.

I would like to know if there are any seminars planned; hunting, elk calling, duck calling, fly fishing clinics, hunting dog seminars, bass fishing, etc., etc. You have to look at other shows in our region (look big now) and see what is out there.

Having done a few shows on the CA coast and in Texas - the air of being provencial kind of lingers where in a state (that I love) that hunting various species and fishing are not far from being superb.

Oh well, go to it and form your own opinion. For me, It is a nice place to see old friends but as far as a top notch outdoor show, you tell the rest of us.

Go to the fair grounds. San Pedro or Louisiana (I think) and Central. Just ask for the Manuel Lujan bldg. I40 used to have an exit right off the freeway.

I still don't know if I am going. On Saturday, I will try for some quail. A lot more fun.
