D.U. Functions

Postby vlb » Sun Aug 26, 2007 8:32 pm

I've got a question. D.U is having a get togetheir in Four Hills On the 29th of Sept. I hate to stick out like a sore thumb, I wear blue jeans and boots most of the time.I' m an old cuss, and should probably know better.Do you all think i'd feel welcomed there?Sixty bucks would more then cover a case of shells for dove hunting.Paying sixty bucks to go to something i'm not sure I would enjoy makes me think its out of my league.

if blue jeans and boots is your thread of choice, you will fit just fine. have fun if you go. a few people i know, including myself, won't be making the trip to it this year. seemes to have become a little overpriced for my blood. i know it's all for a good cause, but i will stick to the smaller more blue collar friendly dinners with my dough.

vlb, I pretty much feel the same way, always been blue jeans kinda
guy and never associated w/the yuppie crowd. I've personally never
been to a DU event. I always really wanted to go though to do my
part for supporting the ducks. I just never wanted to go by myself
and didnt really know anyone involved. The main reason I havent
gone is that they are usually held when I plan to go hunting at 4AM
the next morning. I usually just make donations instead and buy
shirts and such.
Maybe the Rio Rancho one is more blue collared type. I bet if
you won one of them guns you would enjoy yourself.
I would have liked to have met ya at the calling contest. Was that
you wearing camo sitting back there in the seats.
