What was it like 400 and did you have issues with a ton of other people or what? I live in Abq I had a buddy try to talk me into doing it but in no way could I justify driving that far north 5 times a week and paying all that money. If you live up that way I'm guessing it's the way to go.

Okay, got time to post.
Yeah, NAPI.
First time hunting it. Been seeing gazillions of birds there all these years, and since the bug has bitten hard, and I lost a few private spots, I decided to try it.
There is no way Im going to hunt quality waters with all the crazies out there.

Learned alot, made mistakes, and had great success.
It's NOT an easy place to hunt. They say it's 72,000 acres. I know is 28 miles long by about 15 wide of crop fields.
What I learned, is you have to scout which fields they are using and sometimes, they switch the next day to another without send out a memo.
Watch them, set up, and they fly right by to another field without so much as a fly by.
hmmm?
For someone to drive up and try to figure that place out is almost impossible.
It's just too huge and too many fields.
It's an awesome deal at 400 bucks for about 2 1/2 months of hunting, with a 7 & 4 limit, but it's NOT for everyone.
I only talked with 7 other hunters, who were mostly the feedlot pond whores. NAPI shut the pond down and they didn't know what to do!!
I only ran into 2 of those 7, doing what I was, scouting.
These were pro hunters with a trailer and hundreds of decoys. We hunted several times together. Nice guys.
Never had a problem of any other hunters.
Once security checks you once and knows your rig, they never bother you again.
It was like I had the place to myself.

Morgan lake is another good spot.

Been here 17 years now.
Mostly a bg hunter. Got tired of not drawing and just kilin coyote.
Got back into waterfowl.
After a few seasons of chasing my birds down in the river, and picking spots with swallow water, I bought a started dog.
May, Ill have him 2 years. Been on dog training sites, and bg sites. Grew tired of them and searched for waterfowl hunting sites.
That led me here.
Broken horn hunt 2 weeks ago.

My boy is doing well in hunt tests. I only run him here. Im not gonna travel, just for ribbons/titles.
