Packs

Postby quackadikt » Tue Apr 29, 2014 11:15 am

Just wondering what kind of packs you guys are running for big game? Trying to decide what I'm going to try next. Just couldn't make my eberlestock very comfortable with anything over 40lbs in it.

I just picked up an under armor ridge reaper...but have yet to try it out. I'm gonna fill it with dirty laundry this weekend and give it a whirl...
Sorry folks, park's closed...

Badlands "clutch" , also has a built in bladder.

If you talking about pack frames for elk or big game , the Jensen hardcore

Why do I shoot 3.5" shells for ducks and geese ? Because they don't make 4" yet

I normally just hunt with a smaller daypack or fanny pack, then go back for a Kelty meat hauler or something similar if I kill something. I have a larger capacity external frame pack from Cabelas I have used a few times, it's OK, but might get something better someday. I can take the pack off the frame and use it as a meat hauler also. Lots of brands out there and they sure are proud of their equipment, one reason I haven't bought another one. Sorry I don't have any specific recommendations, if you find one you like let us know.

Alice frame with large Army Ruck sack. That's what real men use.

How many deer have you packed out ? Like quarter and pack out ?

Real men throw that Bastard on their shoulders after gutting it and carry it out whole.
Use some testicular fortitude :crying:

Atleast with deer .......elk not so much , you'll blowout a testicle

Hey dead-eye...not everyone gets to hunt those tame deer, still in velvet, with a rifle on WSMR.
