My set up this evening.
Lets play, where's the blind??
Shot 6 greenheads and a hen for 6 shots.
Got too dark for trophy pics because I got busy viewing the clouds of ducks and the moon coming up.
Took this pic right after lst was over.
THOUSANDS of ducks on the ground and in the air.
Different part of the field than I was set up in.
The dark spot on the hill is all ducks.
They fly from the water to feed at night in the fields.
They are like locusts. When they clean a field, they move to another. Only they know where.
Gotta watch em where they go to the next field.
Then its game on again, til they clean it, and move again.
I got them pinned for now!
Ill find out this evening.
Still no geese around tho?
Maybe in a few days, the cold up north will bring the geese and more ducks down? http://smg.photobucket.com/user/splatte ... p.mp4.html
I saw a big increase in #birds today in MRGV, mostly gads and widge. Had at least 10 flocks light in the decoys, the dog was going nuts. It was still early so I waited and got my first mallard limit of the year. I was by myself so really took my time on shots and finished 6 for 6, something I rarely do.
