Most of my puddler hunting is done on flat shoals and rocky shorelines I don’t do much marsh hunting. If you try to use a boat blind there no matter how good it is they will flare. I love to hunt the most God forsaken places, where the ducks feel the safest.
I park my boat down the shoreline and lay in the rocks or I use one of my layout boats I’ve built. For me it’s low profile and good camo.
I use my boat blind mostly for diver that’s where my heart is; I love to hunt those divers.
I hunt the St Lawrence and Lake Ontario.
I took a friend one time, we were going after Black ducks he asked where our bind was. I told him “yours is out in those rocks” he said, “I cant see it” all it was, was a 2x4 wedged between two rocks. I told him to lay still. After he had a great hunt he said he needed to buy better camo.
