hunt Black Lake in the early season? I heard it can be a little bit of a zoo. Thanks.

I've heard it's crazy. Everyone I talk to, talks about Black lake. I've got a feeling it'll be a circus like Lakeview is for the opener.

Its North East of me towards Hammond. I can’t really say how much it gets hunted though, I just don't know.

:welcome: magicBB glad to have you with us

Thanks for the welcome 870.

Your not kidding about Lakeview Clutch, I love it up there but it can get a little hairy first weekend.

I've heard it is crazy with Downstate hunters in the early part of the season. After that, many of the birds flip out and go. Who can blame them? Having said that, I have also heard that if you get lucky and there are not many stupid ass jacklegs from Downstate screwing up your early season hunting, it can be very, very good for woodies, teal, and black ducks.

Big welcome to all the new guys!! Good to see you around. I don't know anything about Black Lake and have nothing further to add to this thread.
