Anyone heard of the CRZ for NY?

Postby Slack Tide » Mon Jul 22, 2013 12:58 pm

It stands for Community Reconstruction Zones and it's an initiative through Albany (Cuomo) to look at regions hard hit from Sandy to evaluate how to "harden the infrastructure" to prepare for the future.
Anyone involved or know anything about this?

They've been "hardening infrastructure" for years. It helps for a while, but eventually it fails. And it's that much more dramatic when it does.

It's not completely all about things like dredging and jetties etc....it's more about evaluating resources, moving power lines, installing hydrants for fire, rerouting evac routes etc..

Sounds like good planning.
