Great Southbay

Postby Maggie's Dad » Thu Nov 02, 2006 5:34 pm

Thinking about a trip to the great southbay this winter. I grew up visiting my grandfather's house in Bellport - the house right next to the town park on the water and have always dreamed of hunting there. I finally have time and a great boat for the bay.

Was wondering if there are any special regulations or permits needed for the waters near bellport. My grandfather was a member of the Pattersquash Gunners Association way back when he used to hunt with his rock headed chessy appropriately named bufflehead. I doubt you still need to be a member to hunt there but figured I'd check.

Hope to see you out there this winter! I'll be in my boat with my Black Lab, 'Maggie'.
