Orient Point & East Marion - Oyster Ponds and Dam Pond

Are you allowd to hunt these areas? I was out there fishing this weekend and tried to do some research and I guess Dam Pond is jointly owned by Suffolk County and Southhold as a " Maritime Reserve". If land is owned by a town or county do the state guidelines still apply or do you need to check with each individual town? Thanks!
