Looking for a dog

Postby harvey1b » Mon Oct 21, 2013 1:36 pm

Hello DHC NYS Forum,

It has been awhile. Some of you may remember me, at one time I was the mod on this forum alongside the guy from the river. I'm reaching out to any of my friends that may still be on here for suggestions on a pup. My long-time hunting companion, Lily, shown in my avatar, passed suddenly last spring. Like all of our dogs, she broke the mold and it has taken time for me to get over. She will never be replaced, but I am now looking for another duck dog, family pet and companion.

I would like a BLF, of British decent. Lily was a bit of a moose, wieghed in at ~85 lbs. I am hoping my next dog will be smaller, I'm looking for around 65-70 lbs. I'm in no hurry and am going to be careful to find what i want. While I am not averse to traveling, i would prefer the breeder were in the Upstate area.

Thanks for your help.

How soon are you looking for a pup?
I just sold out of a litter last weekend, it was a really nice litter and I might repeat this breeding in the Spring.

Sorry to hear about your dog.
I'm actually picking up a new puppy this weekend in Indiana.
Trinity Oak Labs - check their facebook page (of if you're like me, have your wife show it to you...)
