NY goose hunting on TV

Postby harvey1b » Fri Feb 23, 2007 10:13 am

I was watching my new favorite channel last night - the Outdoor Channel (I didn't even know we had it until a few weeks ago, I was so pissed that it took that long to find it)

I was watching "Whistling Wings" I think the show was and they were hunting Canada Geese in the northern NY September season. I have no idea where in "northern NY" is, depending on your starting point that could be pretty much anywhere, but they were gettin' into the geese. It was pretty fun to watch. Anyone else see it or know where it was?

Yea I caught that one too. Great footage and that guy does a great job on that show. Probably the better show out there now.

As for the worst waterfowling show........(Drum roll).....The Oscar goes to.......The two Morons from Flyway Highway.......Those idiots could screw up a free lunch line. I love all the "great footage" of the constant skybustin and if I hear...." Hey Harold...you ready to wacken and stack em?" one more time.....

Yea I know, just change the channel....And I usually do. I change it about the time that one guys starts moving his left index finger around saying that his trigger finger is itchy......

I think Next year I'm going to try to make a Squaw /Scoter Video. Hell it couldn't be worse that the Hershey....uuuhhhhh I mean Flyway Highway......

That is too funny!!

I hear ya, I watched about 5 minutes of Flyway Highway. What a bunch of fools. The only time I saw the guy kill a duck it was WAY up in the air and fell in the next county. I'm not sure the guy even found the bird.

Switching back to the other show, Fall Flight I guess it's called - That guy with his dog are great. I like watching him work his dog and usually pick something up to add to my dog training.

I totally agree with you my man. That show is great. The guy is a true waterfowler and he really has the dog training down.

If they're dumb enough to be lured in by plastic you're really just doing them a favor.

Know your target before you pull the trigger.
