Spur of the monent hunt

Postby 870 » Thu Nov 21, 2013 7:17 pm

I woke this morning to a bluebird day and after the one I had yesterday, I stayed in bed. Later on I checked the weather and saw it's going to rain from midnight through tomorrow. I thought what the heck I'll do a afternoon hunt. Mallards came in early followed by the geese and that was it for the rest of the day. All in all it was a fun hunt just by myself. A friend gave me three boxes of Hevi Metal Shot. Holy cow it knocks the crap out of stuff. Have any of you guys ever used it, wow, wish I could afford it good stuff?

Nice shoot 870. Our spur of the moment hunt didn't start out so great this morning.

Hevi-Metal is awesome. Still shooting through some #4 and #6 Hevi Shot 2 3/4" that I bought at an Estate Auction.

There is a rebate now out on Hevi Metal - brings it down to around the cost of Black Cloud.

The farmer is hunting with us. He's the one who insisted we drive that Dodge with factory bologna skins out into the "frozen" field. Sad thing was, it was only about 3" of mud that it took to get the truck stuff. :grooving: :grooving: :grooving:

We are never on time it seems anymore. Either stuck/one person late/forgot this.....it's become daily routine.
