I just wanted to let everyone know that Delta Waterfowl is finally coming to New York and the first chater is going to be in Rochester. The first meeting is Monday June 25th at 7pm at Gander Mountain in Henrietta on Jay Scutti Blvd. For those who dont know, Delta Waterfowl was founded in 1911, incorporated in 1935, and has been funding education and research since 1938. We are the oldest waterfowl organization in North America. Over 330 biologist have received their training at Delta, and Delta students have published nearly 700 important research papers in recognized scientific journals. Delta is dedicated to education, research, and training in the ecology sciences focusing on waterfowl biology.
Delta supports waterfowl hunting and recognizes waterfowlers as our primary constituency. The efforts of sportsmen and women have been responsible for significant contributions to the waterfowl resource and are crucial for the future of waterfowl and the legacy of waterfowl hunting.
Come to the informational meeting. We will discuss future possibilities for youth hunts, habitat restoration, etc. It will be a great place to swap stories, gain information and connect with other duck hunters. Delta Waterfowl is not competing with Ducks Unlimited. While the organizations disagree on some waterfowl management issues, Delta Waterfowl members say the goal isn't to outdo Ducks Unlimited, but to work together for the rights of duck hunters and help duck production.
HOPE TO SEE YOU THERE!!!!
