It's good to see that you've been catching some nice fish. I've got the boat out a couple times for some panfishing and swimming with the kids and the dog. Even had my wife and our two-year-old out on one trip. Otherwise I've been busy with the kids' sports, work around the house, and making a few decoys. Hopefully I'll get a few oldsquaw done before the late fall.

Lost one of the biggest Steelhead Ive ever seen today. Had to have been in the upper teens. Darn thing jumped 60 ft behind the boat and ended up breaking the line........Almost hurled over the side after that.....Gonna be tough to recover from that one....Later boys

Summer Derby

Don....We absolutely smashed the kings and Browns. The brown in the pic ended up 6th. We caught a boat load of juvenile kings and a bunch of low 20's. Brown ranged from 8 lbs to that monster. All the fish were very healthy. All were released except the big brown. One note is that the DEC better get on the stick with these lamprey eels. Ive killed 4 in the last two trips out. These were big ole honkin eels too. 12 to 14 inchers. Hopefully someone at the DEC gets their head out of their......and starts spraying the streams again........Matt
