WTB - TDB (The Duck Boat)

Postby UGADawg » Tue Jan 21, 2014 8:53 am

Hoping to buy a new duck boat this year.

I'm looking for a used TDB (The Duck Boat) either the 14' or the 15'. If anyone out there has one they would consider selling or could point me in the right direction of finding one, please send me a PM.

Thanks in advance.

Yeah, I saw that one (if the link below is what you are talking about)

I'm headed to the Somerset Fly Fishing show this weekend and turns out the boat is in Central NJ not too far from the show. I plan to stop through and take a look.

I also contacted this guy with no response....

Those are two very different models. The first is the 14 sea class, wider and more stable but draws more water due to the v bottom. The bottom boat is the 14 classic, flat bottom, can get into very skinny water and than be pushed over the mud easier than most boats, but they both have very high profiles for most marsh hunting but not terrible if you grass them enough. Put a 25 hp with a hydrofoil and you'll be in the game, the sea lass with need a long shaft 20". Hunted out of both boats, the classic is best suited for the marsh and can be made to hunt three guys, just scrap the blind that comes with the boat it makes gunning even two guys tight and is way to tall IMO.
No island leaft for Islanders like me.

Get a duck wrangler 15 its a better boat and cheaper. hunts 3 and a dog no problem, the dog can get in and out, foam filled floatation, Flat bottom with a narrow entry gives a dry ride and only 6inches water to float. plenty of storage.
It's my Island.
