There's some on Oneida Lake already. Not huge numbers, but definitely some divers down at the east end.

Hey WW and Disco. I’ve seen some, also not in great numbers. I couldn’t tell just what they were, I’m guessing Ring-bills and Lessers this early. :huh:

not sure what they were but i saw a rafty of like 20 divers or so off the head of bluff today

Cool, thanks for the reports. Although I'll be hunting the beaver ponds for the first couple of weeks, it's good to hear that the divers are starting to show up. Oh man, now I really have got to get my rig ready for the lakes. Every year I think I'll have it done earlier than this, but you know how things go. Gonna pour a little lead in the keels for those buffs tonight. Oh get this, I got my waders out of the basement today and a mouse had decided to make a nest in one of the boots. It took me a minute to figure out why there were hickory nuts in there. I hope he didn't chew any holes!
