Anybody every hunted on lake phelps? If so any pointers you can give? I heard that most people dont even use boats, is this true? And is it as crowded as pamlico point? Also, it is not a special hunt is it?

there is no hunting on lake phelps, it's a wildlife refuge. But you can hunt on the large fields around the lake, they hold lots of swans, but you need permission from the land owner or the guide that leases the land out for swan hunting.

It doesn't say you can't but I couldn't find where it says you can either. I would call the park office and ask them.
Yeah I'm a curmudgeon and I like it that way. Don't tell me how to do something I already know how to do. Don't ask me for help if you already think you know how to do everything. If you want my opinion just sit back and I'll share.
