Pamlico sound duck hunting

Some questions for you Carolina boys.

When hunting the Pamlico sound is the hunting good from marsh blinds?

Or do your need a floating blind to get out to open water?

How has the hunting been on the sound for divers and sea ducks?

Do you shoot many puddle ducks on the sound?

on the south side you have to watch out for the 500 yard blind rule.

The sea ducks have become more skiddish than in years past not sure if that was a fluke for last year or is a trend.

I tend to do better in open water but I mostly hunt the south side and have to deal with the 500 yard rule.

Yeah I'm a curmudgeon and I like it that way. Don't tell me how to do something I already know how to do. Don't ask me for help if you already think you know how to do everything. If you want my opinion just sit back and I'll share.

Those 500 yard rule put the hurtin' on any guys that don't live down there.
I noticed folks are leaving blinds up with a few decoys out so that people can't hunt around them. It's a sign of the times I guess.

You really have to work hard, or know the right people to find decent duck hunting anymore. I know I've had to look at other options.
