Y'all are gettin my hopes down haha. I just hope we can have a decent hunt out there. And we'll have to check out the festival. Since we gotta quit at lunch That gives us some down time to get us a history lesson. By the way, do your guns have to be unloaded at 12 or do you have to be back at headquarters at 12?

They will tell you all that at briefing.

Every day is a new day for duck hunters or we would never get up and go.

Go, enjoy whatever comes and be thankful we have places like this we can enjoy and share.

Oh and do not miss sundown on the road from Lake Causeway into Refuge about 1/8 mile from Causeway end if you get there in time.

One of the best waterfowl shows I have ever seen.

Good hunting.

Weather change coming might help out. Never know til you go. Its a neat place to visit. Martels used to have all you can eat ribs and shrimp on fridays at lunchtime that was good and cheap.

Hopefully the weather will be in your favor. The lake is loaded with ducks. Just gonna take some weather to move them to make them huntable and not just a watching piece.

Don't know if it was skybusting or what but sounded like it was a good day on the lake Saturday. We hunted an impoundment just off the lake and it sounded like a war zone over there at sunrise.
