Blind Bags

Postby Gopack » Mon Aug 28, 2006 9:01 pm

The "What are you PAckin" post along with some articles in Wildfowl got me thinking, What do you guys carry EVERY Time in your blind bag?I know some items change depending on the hunt, but what are the must haves?
For me
Avery Guide bag(Although ilooked at the Drake Blind bags amd in a word..WOW)
Winchester 3.5 Supreme #2 for early Goose,Hevi-Shot #2 late Goose
Hevi-shot #4 for Ducks,3.5
Prinecton Hunter head LAmp,worth more than gold
Quackhead Timber, Big River Long Honker Flute, Quacker Boy Flute, and Primos High Roller whistle(Late season I blow the whistle 75% time or more)
Avery Neck Gaitor
Avery Callers Gloves(I'm by no stretch a caller but hate bulky gloves)
Banana Moon Pies, before it freezes, then Nitri grain bars.
Used to wear face mask but gave it up for face black
Olympus digiatl camera,Neoprene sheel belt xtra deke line, and wader garters for forgetfull father in law.

What I carry on every hunt:

shells for whatever is in season.
gerber brush saw.
fix blade knife.
decoy line.
small amount of 1/8 in rope.
lighter.
shell pouch(clips to waders).
small flash light.
extra chokes for the gun.
face mask for myself and buddies.
appropriate calls.
and THE most important item you can have, a role of T.P
For we were born yesterday, and know nothing,
because our days on earth are only a shadow.

In addition to alot of these things, I like to have a weather radio, a cell phone (in a zip lock bag -in my hunting coat)
Also, a small mirror to get any gun powder particles out of my eye.
(it only took once to remember that for now on)
It never hurts to have a duck ID book if you're not familiar with all your species.
