Trouble is, I can't decide wether to do a flying mount with breast against the wall or a decoy pose mount. However I get it done I'd like to be able to see the back. I've got a bluebill done cupped up and I think it just looses something.

Nice bird, even nicer with a band.

Maybe you would like to mount your bird like this?

I do like the hanging dead mounts a lot. I have a gadwall hanging dead. The bird was shot inland.

Western part of Saskatchewan in August of last year. Said the bird was at least a year of when it was banded.

There was absolutely no corn involved in the taking of this bird. Haha.

I killed my first nice red head drake last year in Arkansas dropping in to the dekes. I still wish I would have put him on the wall.

I would have it mounted either standing or a dead mount. I just like standing birds better. My brother had a redhead mounted flying and it just doesnt look right to me .

Thanks I am very partial to standing mounts as well. Guess I'm going to have to throw all the poses in a hat a draw one out.

Beautiful Redhead! He'll look really good showing off that band however you choose to mount him.

Not to steal your moment, but I'm too undecided to on how to mount my bird. Flying was first choice but might think standing would show him off a little better? Any suggestions are appreciated.
