Bass Fishing the Chowan River?

Postby mayhem96 » Mon Apr 22, 2013 7:17 pm

I need some info on bass fishing the Chowan River. How is the bass fishing in it? Any tips are welcome and I'm not looking for your best spots just want some info on what I should expect. I have a Triton aluminum bass boat and want to know how rough it gets.

Sorry for all the questions :hammer:

It can get really rough. North or South wind blows straight up or down the river. East or West blows across the river. SW and NE are not good winds. SW is the worst this time of year. The wind has lots of room to stack up waves. You would be better off fishing the creeks off off the main river anyway. There was a pretty big fish kill a couple of years ago after a hurricane and the fishing hasn't been real good since.
