Just like the title says, has anyone ever shot or let alone seen a Speck in NC or SC?

The only time I have ever heard of them here is from a buddy of mine. I saw pictures from their hunt 2 years ago and they shot 3. He was up in Hyde county off skeet, field hunting for Swan's. This place borders the refuge and from what he said they were roosting in the lake and then flying over them going to feed in the fields. They did not decoy, they were pass shooting them.
Make sure their toe nails are wet

We had one come into the decoys with a flock of Canada's a few years back. I was out of the blind retrieving a cripple and the guys managed to shoot everything but the speck.

Speck is a distinctively juniper-flavored ham originally from Tyrol, a historical region that since 1918 partially lies in Italy. Speck's origins at the intersection of two culinary worlds is reflected in its synthesis of salt-curing and smoking.
